Bristol Vintage kilo sale

Okay so being home isn’t that bad… The autumnal build up to Christmas is my favourite time of year, so it’s nice to be home for it. It’s lovely creeping into winter when being chilly is a novelty that hasn’t worn off yet. Of course the approach to Christmas comes with a lot of shopping, so it was only right my sister and I went to the vintage kilo sale. For those of you who have never heard of this, it’s a huge sale of vintage clothes where you pay per kilo.

For a successful day of shopping, you have to fuel yourself correctly with donuts.

And have a hot drink to hold and wait in the cold for twenty minutes!

They did keep us entertained with a lucky dip so the wait wasn’t that bad, and we each got a lolly pop.

Held in the artsy Paint Works of Bristol, the Vintage Kilo Sale is extremely popular… the que was actually double this size off camera. This is a great event to come to, even if you’re not really shopping and just fancy having a look around.

I love seeing the quirky clothing and the experiencing the nostalgia of pre 2000. Where else would you find these incredible materials? (My sister did have to restrain me from buying the second one)

Of course for all good things you have to work for it. Here is my sister digging for the perfect plaid shirt she was determined to find in this barrel.

The paint works in Bristol is a great spot to visit if you’re attracted to the artistic vibe. They have artist’s work shops around which you can browse and buy from. Situated right next to the river, it’s a very pretty area to hold the Vintage Kilo Sale.

  1. Hi Emily,

Sometimes just being home is full of adventures. Have a great start to you holidays. We have Thanksgiving next week and fall colors here and there. No snow for us.
