If you’re a fan of Only Fools and Horses then you’ll know exactly who the Trotter brothers are. For those who don’t, it is a brilliant comedy, about two brothers who buy and sell almost anything, mostly dodgy goods, in the hopes of one day becoming millionaires. It was aired from 1981 – 2003 and today is still a classic here in the UK.

Recently Del Boy and Rodney, have returned to their old stomping grounds, to try their hands at their latest get rich quick scheme. Selling face masks from his trademark suitcase stand, Del Boy is ready for a quick get away if the police or market bosses show up.

The pieces are found on Dunford Street opposite the Nelson Mandela House, which is actually the Whitemead House, Ashton Gate, Bristol. Only fools and horses was based in Peckham, London but funnily enough, never filmed there. Instead it was mostly filmed here in Bristol and West London.

Street artist DIFF, created the pieces on 24th July when it became compulsory for us to wear face masks. Great timing as Del Boy was never one to miss an opportunity… Not sure I would actually buy one from him though!
Such a funny tv series..don’t think it’s ever been matched

“Do they call him Trigger cos he carries a gun?”
“No, it’s because he looks like a horse.” 😂

Had no idea it was filmed in Bristol and those pictures are great. One of the best comedies ever and always good to watch over and over again.

I’m doing a bit of exploring around my home town of Bristol, which isn’t as tropical or hot as I would like but at least we’re not in lock down any more 😊
hope you’re well and safe!

I love learning new things. Never knew that the filming was done in Bristol, but I guess it makes sense as Peckham was pretty rough in the old days. My favourite episode has to be the one where Del Boy falls through the bar when the bar lady opens the hatch. Also Trigger winning an award for only using one broom throughout his career as a street cleaner (even though he has separately replaced the handle and brush multiple times 😂).
