The first thing that comes to mind when I see ‘Potato Head’, is this guy.
An odd name for a beach club but definitely one you’ll remember. The Potato Head Lounge is located just off the beach in Seminyak. It is a little tricky to find the first time you go there, as there is only a small sign. It took us a couple of drive bys before we managed to find it ourselves.
If you’re planning on spending the day here, I would definitely recommend hiring a day bed. You don’t exactly have to pay for it, but you do have to spend a minimum of 500,000rp. That sounds expensive for Bali, but between four people it’s easily done. Get there early as they run out fast and nobody is in a rush to finish using theirs.
The coffee they serve at PH is really good. I just wish there was more of it! I could drink a pint of coffee but always seem to be given little tea cups. It seems the fancier the place, the smaller the portions.
This photo was taken two hours after they opened. So you can see that when the sun is shining, it is super busy. Last time I came here there were no beds set up on the grass so they are clearly becoming more popular.
It’s the perfect place if you want to do the chilling by the pool thing but you don’t want to do it at your hotel. They also have a bar in the pool if you’re into that kind of thing. I struggle to not spill my drink down myself when I’m sat at a normal bar so I gave the pool bar a miss.
PH is open until late in the evening and is great for cocktails, however I much prefer coming in the day so that I can laze in the sun and basically be a potato.
Bali! How fun! And what a terrific time of year to be traveling in a warm place π

Cool photos and Bali sounds amazing! I love how the lounge is named Potato Head haha it does remind me of the guy from Toys Story.

Was this from a while ago or recent? Whats the deal with the volcano as I’m considering going at some point this year.

This was just over two months ago. I read this article from today and it says that there is a 10km danger zone but every where else is safe… with the possibility of a volcano erupting though I would rather wait for the all clear π

I was in Bali back in September, just when the high alerts started. It was still safe. Took a couple of month for the Volcano to erupt and they had closed off the airports. Guess that is the down side and the fact that the area is restricted. But Bali is still safe.
It a wonderful place to visit β€
