One of my favourite places to visit whilst being home has always been Bath. Only a twenty minute drive from Bristol, a last minute plan to visit the Christmas markets was definitely a good one. After being home and getting straight back into work, we were in need of a bit of Christmas. We are currently living and working on a farm in Gloucester and have been for the past six weeks (separate update post to follow). All of our focus has been primarily on the farm, so the Bath Christmas market was the perfect visit to feel more festive.
It was a great chance to get some Christmas shopping done too, even if most of the purchases went straight into my mouth.
The iconic Bath Cathedral is beautiful and looked even more so alongside the Christmas tree. We arrived a little late to do so, but you can have a look around inside. I’ve been in so many times but I would of loved to of seen it with the Christmas decorations up.
The drive up was enough to get us feeling more Christmasy, especially when you see houses like this one!
Whilst I’m writing about Christmas… I just want to wish all of my subscribers a very merry one and a happy new year. I really appreciate all of your support and feedback. It’s great to have you follow my journey and I am very grateful to have you here.
All the best, Emily x
What a beautiful spot for a Christmas market. I used to go to the ones in Germany as a child and they were magical. Your post makes me nostaligic!

Thanks for sharing, I love seeing what Christmas looks like in other parts of the world. I would love to visit a European Christmas market, they look so beautiful.

Some great photos. I’ll have to try and finally visit Bath next year and maybe time it to coincide with the Christmas markets too 🙂

Lovely to see Bath after all these years. Particularly the Abbey square & Christmas fair imagery.
‘Wooden Ties’ – ha! So Walcot Street hip, so Bath! Thanks.
